Mike Biesiadecki, Treasurer

Hello, my name is Mike Biesiadecki and I am your newly elected Treasurer and previously the Vice-chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors. I am a graduate of Lawrence Technological University and have been employed at Stellantis (Chrysler) for 13 years as a maintenance supervisor and before that, 15 years at American Axle & Manufacturing. Dearborn is where I have called home for the past 20 years. Pride in my Polish heritage and passion for polka music was instilled in me at an early age by my parents, Al & Betty Biesiadecki, both of whom were booster members. Polish traditions and customs were practiced regularly in our household like Christmas Wigilia and blessing of the Easter basket to name a few. Polka music was played at all our family gatherings, while sitting on the front porch and even when washing the car. Dad took me to listen to the bands play at church festivals, picnics, and dance halls. My fondest memories are going to Warsaw Park and the Brentwood House on a Sunday afternoon seeing bands like Eddie Blazonczyk, Lil Wally, and Marion Lush. Whenever my dad would buy a recording, he would have the artist/band autograph the cover to me. To this day, I have each forementioned artist’s autograph on their respective 8-track recording. Through polka music, I met the love of my life, Lois, at a polka dance, travelled to many places and made many friends who truly are my “polka family”.
