Gary\u2019s Polish heritage<br>begins with his mother Joanne and her parents, Paul and Dorothy Mrozek. His grandparents<br>were longtime members of the Polka Boosters, as well as their brothers and sisters. Gary<br>shares that Polish traditions and customs run deep in their family. Growing up, he recalls<br>listening to polkas in the basement while playing pool and celebrating the holidays. Christmas<br>Eve and Easter are his favorite holidays followed by May Crowning. Gary lives downriver in<br>Trenton and has been given the title of \u201chonorary resident of Wyandotte\u201d. With that said, Our<br>Lady of the Scapular (previously Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) annual festival is his all-time<br>favorite. When it comes to polka music, Eddie Blazonczyk\u2019s Versatones with Senior and Junior is one he<br>considers the best. Gary feels very fortunate to have made so many wonderful friends in the Polish<br>community. He has 35 years of service working for a major airline. This has given him the opportunity to travel all over the world including 2 trips to Poland. Gary\u2019s friends and traditions are important to him. He looks forward to his new position as club Secretary.
